Description

Spoops! All Berries! completes our trio of Cereal Monster mugs! This dapper ghoul is sporting a bowler hat, bowtie, milky eyes and toothy grin. He was inspired by the beloved Boo Berry breakfast cereal Classic film buffs among you may also recognize Peter Lorre. Lorre was a frequent subject for caricature, appearing in cartoons from Looney Tunes to SpongeBob. The actor was also credited as a design inspiration for the look and voice of General Mills'  Boo Berry.

Lorre starred in many classic horror films, alongside the likes of Boris Karloff and Vincent Price from the 1930s into the 1960s. Notably Lorre played the mad murderer, Hans Beckert, in Fritz Lang's silent thriller M in 1931. Did Beckert's unquiet spirit go on to promote children's breakfast cereal?!?
